Sometimes we just need to go back and embrace those early, important life lessons we learned as kids.

  1. Say please and thank you.
  1. Stand when a lady comes to your table (or when the lady at your table leaves).
  1. Taste your food before you put salt and pepper on it.
  1. Have a firm handshake and look the person in the eye when you shake their hand.
  1. If you don’t have something nice to say about someone, don’t say anything at all.
  1. Polish your shoes.
  1. Don’t buy something unless you can afford it.
  1. When you do buy things, buy quality stuff. Nothing beats good quality.
  1. When someone is hurting, reach out. Take food. Send a note. Call them. You might not know exactly what to say, but whatever it is, they need to hear it and know that you care.
  1. Have fun, because life is short!
